Southern Maine Technology Initiative
The Southern Maine Technology Initiative, formally the LeClair Technology Initiative, is dedicated to expanding access to essential technology and digital resources. Through education, equipment donations, recycling initiatives, and internet support, we empower veterans, seniors, disabled and displaced individuals, first responders, small businesses, and nonprofits. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide, promote sustainability, and strengthen communities through inclusive and affordable technology services.
In Memory of Gary LeClair
The LeClair Technology Initiative was founded in memory of Gary LeClair. Our founder, Corie, was one of Gary’s children who inherited a deep sense of care, compassion and love for community from his father.
Our History
Our origins began in 2024 when our Founder, Corie, started providing free technical resources and tech-help to seniors & small businesses. After Gary passed away, Corie felt an obligation to return the kindness and compassion he received from his father to the world.
About Our Founder
Corie has been heavily invested in supporting communities through recycling initiatives, humanity resources and local economic activity. Corie has strong ties to the local community by being part of several local organizations:
